The Education Fund was initially established using donations and proceeds of the GNSI Annual Auction. The funds are available for use in educational programs, activities, events, and resources. Applications for funding are reviewed by the Education Fund Committee, comprised of GNSI members appointed by the Education Director.
Funds are awarded on the basis of merit, and may be either the full amount requested or a portion thereof in the form of Grants and/or Seed Money, by decision of the Committee. Past awards have ranged from $200-$1500. The types of funded activities to date include lectures, workshops, exhibits, outreach open houses, etc. All funded activities are are reviewed for a public outreach component beyond Guild membership.
